Capita, Britain’s biggest outsourcing company, will invest £500m in technology and infrastructure over the next three years.
The company is going to reinvent itself as a specialist in artificial intelligence, robotics and other new technologies to shift away from companies such as G4S, Serco, Mitie and Interserve and to compete more with IT consultancies such as Accenture, Cognizant and Atos.
